PRODUCER/DIRECTOR: Since 2002 DeAngelo annually created multi-genre dance productions for Career Transition for Dancers (CTFD) and Capezio. Mounting high-profile events requires an extraordinary artistic vision coupled with the ability to develop a creative concept; select and manage talent including world-renown celebrities; hire and oversee a production team, and supervise all aspect of production.  This worthy cause of dancers became seminal to the New York dance season.

The Variety Show–“Jugglin’ Styles” Annenberg Center for the Arts, Philadelphia, PA—an original 70 min. mixed-genre artists: juggler/illusionist Michael Moschen, Mr. Wiggles, performance artist Ann Carlson, aerial work by Joanna Haigood, Sarah East Johnson’s circus performers, former Joffrey Ballet’s Jodie Gates, US Team rhythmic gymnast Charlene Edwards.

ARTISTIC DIRCTOR:

Ballet D’Angelo (1980s) gave birth and a platform to diverse dancers, dance styles in innovative full-evening performances that toured internationally. In 1990 DeAngelo became the first Artistic Director of Ballet de Monterrey in Mexico. Together with founder/patron Yolanda Santos, they gave birth to a company “of the Americas” that is thriving today.  She created the artistic and administrative infra-structure with an annually salaried company. In those early years DeAngelo also choreographed 7 original works including The Nutcracker, and PARAISO which starred Hip Hop pioneer Steve “Mr. Wiggles” Clemente; commissioned several works including Kevin McKenzie’s Transcendental Etudes, and Ana Merida’s La Luna (a reconstruction); and produced classical ballets including Cynthia Gregory’s one-act Swan Lake. DeAngelo also created the first outreach program in Mexico.
